Day 1 - Fly out of Adelaide - Melbourne
- Hong Kong - Zurich - Barcelona

Monday
6th. May 2013:
Day 2 - Arrive in
Barcelona.
Welcome to Barcelona, one of the world's most cosmopolitan
cities. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure to relax before tonight's
group welcome dinner. [D]
Tuesday 7th. May 2013: Day 3 - Barcelona.
Our sightseeing of Barcelona begins! We pay homage to some of
Gaudi's incredible architectural gems including
Casa Batllo,
Casa Mila and the unfinished
La Sagrada Familia. We also visit
the beautiful
Guell Park. [B]
Wednesday 8th. May 2013: Day 4 - Barcelona.
Today we further explore this wonderful city with a morning tour
that includes
Plaza Catalunya,
Barcelona Cathedral, the
Gothic
Quarter and the
Plaza San Jaume. The afternoon is free for you
to explore. [B]
Thursday 9th. May 2013: Day 5 - Barcelona - Valencia
We head down the coast to Valencia for a tour of the old city
with its historic
bell tower,
cathedral and the lively
Barrio de
Carmen. [B]
Friday 10th. May 2013: Day 6 - Valencia - Granada
Our journey continues to historic Granada, our home for the next
2 nights. On the way we pass by
Alicante and the ancient Moorish
city of
Murcia. [B]
Saturday 11th. May 2013: Day 7 - Granada
A wonderful day ahead as we visit the famous
Alhambra Palace, a
stunning Moorish citadel and a real gem. The palace is one of
Spain's most famous attractions with its beautifully manicured
Generalife gardens. [B]
Sunday 12th. May 2013: Day 8 - Granada - Tangier
Today we travel by ferry to Morocco via the Spanish town of
Ronda, one of Andalusia's white villages. On our arrival in
Morocco we enjoy a city tour of
Tangier including the
Sultan's
Palace. [B,D]
Monday 13th. May 2013: Day 9 - Tangier - Fez
As we travel on to Fez we visit the impressive Roman ruins of
Volubilis, once an important Roman city. We also visit the
Bab
el Mansour Gate and lively old
medina in Meknes, one of
Morocco's imperial cities. [B,D]
Tuesday 14th. May 2013: Day 10 - Fez
Fez is one of the oldest of Morocco's four imperial cities. We
explore the narrow lanes of the famous
medina, visit the
awe-inspiring
Karaouine Mosque and
fountains of Carpenter's
Square. [B]
Wednesday 15th. May 2013: Day 11 - Fez - Merzouga
Today we head into the Middle
Atlas Mountains on the way to
Merzouga. For the next two evenings we will stay in a
traditional Moroccan kasbah. [B,D]
Thursday 16th. May 2013: Day 12 - Merzouga
A great day ahead as we visit the traditional Moroccan village
of
Khamlia. Here we get to experience real Moroccan culture
before continuing on to
Tissirdmine to enjoy lunch served
between the palms. [B,L,D]
Friday 17th. May 2013: Day 13 - Merzouga - Boumalne
A scenic day as we continue through the
Dades Valley to the town
of
Boumalne. We enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure. [B,D]
Saturday 18th. May 2013: Day 14 - Boumalne - Marrakesh
We travel to Marrakesh via
Ouarzazate and the
Tizi N' Tichka
Pass. At 2,260m we'll experience a variety of beautiful
landscapes. [B]
Sunday 19th. May 2013: Day 15 - Marrakesh
Historic Marrakesh, the heartbeat of Morocco and the 'Jewel of
the South', is a great place to explore. Here we visit the
Saadian Tombs and the
Dar Si Said Museum of Moroccan Art, before
enjoying a traditional Moroccan dinner in the "Rose City". [B,D]
Monday 20th. May 2013: Day 16 - Marrakesh
Enjoy a day at leisure in
Marrakesh. [B]
Tuesday 21st. May 2013: Day 17 - Marrakesh - Casablanca -
Rabat
We tour Bogart’s old stomping ground,
Casablanca, before heading
on to the lively city of
Rabat. [B]
Wednesday 22nd. 2013: Day 18 - Rabat - Seville
We take the ferry back to mainland Europe and head north to
Seville. [B]
Thursday 23rd. May 2013: Day 19 - Seville
A great morning as we enjoy a tour of grand Seville including
the
Cathedral of Santa Maria, the
Royal Alcazar and the historic
Jewish Santa Cruz. This afternoon is at leisure for you to
explore on your own. [B]
Friday 24th. May 2013: Day 20 - Seville - Madrid
We visit the historic sites of
Cordoba including the impressive
Mezquita which was once a mosque and is now a cathedral. Later
we take the high-speed AVE train to Madrid. [B]
Saturday 25th. May 2013: Day 21 - Madrid
Today is all about majestic Madrid. Our tour of this grand royal
city includes the beautiful
Plaza Mayor and
Retiro Park. [B]
Sunday 26th. May 2013: Day 22 - Madrid - Toledo - Madrid
This morning we take a trip out to
Toledo, known for being a
melting pot of religions and cultures, and also the birthplace
of many famous artists. Tonight we enjoy a fabulous farewell
dinner. [B,D]
Monday 27th. May 2013: Day 23 - Depart Madrid (9:35am) - Fly
to Zurich - New York (arrive JFK 3:50pm)
